| Objectives |
Uses singing and sound imitation to develop your child's voice and language skills. Creative movement and dancing develop balance and awareness of space. Enjoyable activities that focus on attention and listening. The class experience will focus on and encourage your child's individuality and unique learning while honoring his/her own pace of learning and participation. |

Each week the children are assigned an activity from the Home Activity Book. This book contains learning concepts and home activities directly linked to the activities experienced in each week's class. |

4 sequential semesters, each consisting of 15, 60 minute classes. It is helpful, but not mandatory that students enrolled in Young Child 3 have already taken semesters 1 and 2. |

| Objectives |
Children begin learning the fundamental musical concepts including reading and writing rhythms and notes on the music staff. Children will start discovering the music in all the sounds around them and refine their listening skills. Children will participate in live music by playing simple percussion instruments including their own glockenspiel. The instrumental families are introduced and explored as well as several majore composers. Third semester students will also learn music on their own 2-stringed dulcimer and be introduced to the music and people of other culutures.While each semester builds on the previous, there is sufficient review for new students to added each semester. |
