Kindermusik Village

Who Children birth to 18 months
Curriculum 8, 45 minute classes. This session's curriculum is "Cock-a-Doodle-Moo".
Parents or caregivers are actively involved with their baby during each class session, the class time allows for special one-on-one bonding time
Objectives Parent education which will help you understand how the classes' activities aid in your baby's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. Brain research shows us that development in these areas can be stimulated through purposeful, engaging musical activities. Special one-on-one bonding time.
Activities Gentle gathering time, movement activities, singing, chanting, instrument exploration, exercise/balance, intentional touch, quiet time, and object play.

  • Thursday 9:30 to 10:15 am

  • Tuition $65.00
  • Materials $35.00 (includes farm board book, art banner, sunshine jingle instrument, compact disc, 2 scarves (new students), and carrying bag)

Kindermusik Our Time

Who Children aged 18 months to 3 years
Curriculum 15, forty-five minute classes. This semester's curriculum is "Away We Go!" and focuses on transportation.
Parents or caregivers need to be present and actively involved in each class
Objectives Program aims to develop basic music, language, and social skills (including turn-taking), while providing an environment in which the child's musical instincts are encouraged and social skils begin to blossom.
Activities Singing, chanting, vocal exploration, sound imitation, rhyming, creative moving, dancing, listening, echoing rhythm and tonal patterns, playing simple percussive instruments, interactive story time and exploration of a rich assortment of age-appropriate literature.

  • Tuesday 9:30 to 10:15 am
  • Wednesday 9:45 to 10:30 am
  • Thursday 10:45 to 11:30 am

Imagine That!

Who Children aged 3 to 5 years
Curriculum 15, forty-five minute classes. This semesters's curriculum is "Toys We Make - Trips We Take".
Parents or caregivers need to be present for the final 15 minutes of each session
Objectives Uses singing and sound imitation to develop your child's voice and language skills. Creative movement and dancing develop balance and awareness of space. Enjoyable activities that focus on attention and listening. The class experience will focus on and encourage your child's individuality and unique learning while honoring his/her own pace of learning and participation.
At Home Activities Each week the children are assigned an activity from the Home Activity Book. This book contains learning concepts and home activities directly linked to the activities experienced in each week's class.

Imagine That!

Who Children aged 6 months to 6 years
Curriculum 10, sixty minute classes. This semesters's curriculum is "Make Way for Music".
Parents or caregivers need to be activley involved in class sessions
Objectives Aims to develop basic music, language, listening, loco motor and social skills, while providing an environment in which each child's musical instincts and creativity are encouraged.
Class Activities Singing, chanting, vocal exploration, rhyming, finger plays, playing with props, creative moving, dancing, listening, playing and exploring simple percussive instruments, interactive story time, and family "jam-time".

  • Saturday 10:00 to 10:50 am

  • Tuition $80.00 1 child family

  • Materials $60.00 (- includes a home activity guide to musical fun, 2 fingerdrums, lion hand puppet and finger puppet, 2 cd's, 2 storybooks and an instrument matching board game)

Kindermusik for the Young Child

Who Children aged 5 to 7 years
Curriculum 4 sequential semesters, each consisting of 15, 60 minute classes. It is helpful, but not mandatory that students enrolled in Young Child 3 have already taken semesters 1 and 2.
Parents or caregivers need to be present for the final 10 minutes of each session
Objectives Children begin learning the fundamental musical concepts including reading and writing rhythms and notes on the music staff. Children will start discovering the music in all the sounds around them and refine their listening skills. Children will participate in live music by playing simple percussion instruments including their own glockenspiel. The instrumental families are introduced and explored as well as several majore composers. Third semester students will also learn music on their own 2-stringed dulcimer and be introduced to the music and people of other culutures.
Activities Singing and speaking, moving, listening, exploring instruments and becoming familiar with orchestral instruments, games, creating stories, sounds, & songs, and interacting with other class members.

  • Semester II - Monday 4:30 to 5:30 pm
  • Semester IV - Wednesday 5:00 to 6:00 pm
    (needs Semesters I, II & II)

  • Semester II Materials $50 (includes music cd, folder of lesson materials, stickers, games' bag, songbook and home activity cards)
  • New Student Materials $75 (includes above and Kindermusik bag and glockenspiel with mallets)

  • Semester IV Materials $50 (includes music cd, folder of lesson materials, stickers, games' bag with manipulatives, songbook, and a recorder with bag)
