Pam Mathews is a licensed, trained Kindermusik teacher who has enriched the lives of children with music movement since 1990. Pam began working with Kindermusik at Leabanon Valley College's Community Music Institute in Pennsylvania. In addition to being trained in all the curriculum's offered by Kindermusik, Pam is trained in the Musikgarten curriculum. In the fall of 1994, Pam moved to Frederick and serves as the music director/ organist at the Middletown United Methodist Church where she oversees the church's music program, plays the orgran, and leads four of the church's choirs. Pam teaches all the Kindermusik curricula offered at the Middletown United Methodist Church. Additonally, Pam works with the pre-school and kindergarten at MUMC introducing students to music. In addtion to her duties at the Middletown United Methodist Church and her Kindermusik program, Pam instructs students in piano, voice, and organ. Her students perform in two annual recitals and participate in events sponsored by the Frederick County Music Teachers Association (FCMTA) and Maryland State Music Teachers Association (MSMTA). Pam has served president of the FCMTA and vice-president of publications for the MSMTA. Both of these organizations are affiliated with the Music Teachers National Association. She has also served a term as the Dean of the Central Maryland American Guild of Organists. Pam recieved her undergraduate degree in music from Leabanon Valley College and her master's degree in music from The Catholic University of America. Pam plays regularly at Holy Family Catholic Church in Middletown for their Saturday evening mass. When not teaching or playing for church services, Pam accompanies local music groups. These include The Frederick Orchestra and the community choir, One God - One Voice. Pam has traveled with One God - One Voice on two European tours. In December of 1997 the group performed at the International Advent Sing in Vienna, Austra. In June of 1999 the choir traveled to Italy. While in Italy they performed at a Papal audience in St. Peter's square and at an international choral festival in Tuscanny.
